Frequently Asked Questions

At Sydney Smiles Dental, Dr Lee recommends seeing your dentist every 6 months. The key to having great oral health is maintenance and prevention. Prevention and maintenance in dentistry is the best way to save money in the long run. When you see your dentist every 6 months, it allows for potential problems to be picked up early before it becomes too late, painful and costly.

Bleeding gums can be a sign of gingivitis. This can occur when there is a build-up of plaque around the gums. If the plaque is not removed, it can cause the gums to swell and bleed. It is best to see your dentist once every six months for regular check-up cleanings to keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy. Please contact us on (02) 9410 2001 for any further questions.

Prevention and early intervention is the key to having healthy teeth. It is recommended to get dental treatment done as soon as possible. Delaying treatment can cause more damage to your teeth and may result in an increase in the cost of treatment.

We have the facilities at Sydney Smiles Dental to offer digital dental implants to our patients. With modern technology, this method is less invasive, has less healing time, has great accuracy and is more comfortable. Digital dental implants also provide an alternative for patients with diabetes or vascular diseases. This system improves the results of treatment with accuracy and more comfort to our patients. Dental X-rays are critical in proper diagnosis and treatment. Dental X-rays allow Dr Lee to identify tooth decay, abscess, bone loss, etc. They are used as a preventive and diagnostic tool to ensure that our patients receive the best care and treatment.

At Sydney Smiles Dental, we use digital dental X-rays, which has one of the lowest radiation doses as studies confirm. It is less than half of the natural background radiation that you are exposed to on a daily basis. With modern technology, dental X-rays have reduced the amount of radiation significantly. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our friendly staff on (02) 9410 2001.
